Vacanza

Okay. I know I haven't written in a while. This blog, like most of Italy in August, has been put on hold for vacation season. Truly, Rome has cleared out except for tourists, everything is so quiet! There are signs on every other shop, store, vendor that explains that they are closed and giving the dates they will re-open. Everyone is on vacation. I am off of work until September anyway, so I've been taking advantage of the free time and keeping busy. At the end of the month I'll have lots of updates; my friend Brooke came to visit, we moved into a new apartment, I've been eating lots of pizza, I went on a trip to Calabria and Sicily with my friend Amy, and as I speak I am going to meet up with my family in Villa Latina. I'll be back in working order along with the rest of Italy in the beginning of September. A presto!
